Why am I such a procrastinator?!?!

The last 2 weeks have been psychotic... see atleast if i had the satisfaction of graduating at the end of exams I probably wouldn't even complain... but the thought of another year of this is jus... depressing! And don't tell me school is fun or that all of you graduates are gonna miss it. You're SO not gonna miss the studying, cramming, getting by on 3 hours of sleep, test writing, faking you're sick so you can get a doctor's note, and stupid essays... i jus finished my reference list for my Psych paper... probably the most annoying thing I've ever done!! 10 references and stupid APA style!

So back to why I'm a procrastinator... maybe I like doing work when there's a looming deadline... NO... maybe I enjoy staying up all night typing... nope... I think I'm jus plain old LAZY! But it's really coming back to bite me in the...

Paper due tomorrow... finished it Alhumdalillah!!... Test on Tuesday... Test on Friday... Presentation & Test next Tues.... and i haven't even touched.. i mean bought the textbook for that last one yet :S... or read the journal article I am presenting.... and i hafta make a Posterboard. Anyone artistic and wants to do it for me?? :)

So see ya when all of this is over... then exam time.. yippee...

BUT one thing I am looking forward to is.. Blue Jays game :) We'd so better be going...

*Ahem* - As someone who has been out of school for about a year and a half now, I think I have enough authority to provide an expert opinion on the issue.

You DO miss is it. I'm banging my head on the walls and counting the days til I can start school again this September insh'Allah!! True I'm gonna hafta go to Detroit to do it, it seems worth it.

I'm not cut out for the working world just yet. School is a safety zone. You can get away with saying "I have no money, I'm just a student". You can tell your ammi that you refuse to go to someone's house because you need to study and they'll back away! You have an excuse to be moody and tempermental!

I am willing to do that posterboard for you Sarah. Or sit in on lectures and take notes for you :D...someone give me an assignment...!!

Wake me up when September gets here will you?

OMG... I remember when you guys were first years and now you're graduating... awwww.

But you're coming back to school, so I won't get too sentimental. Honestly, I think when I start working, it's going to be the most depressing day of my life. With school, it seems like the possibilities are limitless, you're in the company of great minds on a daily basis - and let's face it, you get to see your friends every day. When you start work, you're going to ask yourself, "this is it?!"

Anyway, bottom line, enjoy being a student while you can.

Khadeeja, good luck on your studies in Detroit! {insert thumbs up emoticon}

It will be difficult at first, being in a new environment and different country. You'll miss your family a lot, but that will also be a motivational factor, inspiring you to work hard and graduate looking forward to returning back home.

I'm not sure how close it is to Detroit and if it is safe, but it might be worth checking out Eight Mile Road. If you do, please be sure to let me know your thoughts on it!
